Whether you want to just play drums for fun, or if you are keen to carve a career out as a professional, the amount of learning, lessons & practice you require will vary. So, to keep things simple, here is the pricing breakdown:
First "trial" lesson for new students will be FREE!!!
Subsequent lessons will be:
1 Hour - €50
½ Hour - €35
Practice time can be booked for €10 per hour.
Dr Paradiddle's also offers monthly block booking deals, plus key rental for the practice rooms! (Keys are limited, so there may be some waiting time if all the keys are already booked out...)
The Practice Only Deal: [€250 per month]
You can rent keys to the premises for unlimited monthly practice time. The rooms at Dr P's are good for full drum kit practice or vocal practice... I've even had a saxophonist using the place! So, if you can't make noise at home and need a private place to spend some quality time with your instrument, this is the deal for you...
You will get a set of keys, (required contract provided), and have unsupervised, unlimited practice time subject to conditions and room availability. The Small Print (terms & conditions of use) are detailed at the bottom of this page.
The Lessons & Practice Deal: [€350 per month]
If you are are having lessons with one of the teachers at Dr Paradiddles, we can make a key rental agreement for you so you never miss the chance to practice what you are learning: 4x 1 hour lessons per month, plus you can rent keys to the premises for unlimited monthly practice time!
You will get a set of keys, (required contract provided), and have unsupervised, unlimited practice time subject to conditions and room availability. The Small Print (terms & conditions of use) are detailed at the bottom of this page.
Other Services and lovely things offered by Rich and Dr Paradiddles:
There is a toilet, a waiting area and a refreshments area.
Students are welcome to use all facilities provided.
Both practice rooms have drum kits provided (with practice sticks should you need them).
I also offer the following services (P.O.A.):
Drum (kit) repair and servicing
Drum (kit) tuning
The best handmade cups of tea (my treat)
The small print:
Key rental is subject to a signed contract between myself and the renter.
Practice time is limited to Weekdays and Saturday between 12:00 and 21:00.
This is NOT a band rehearsal place. Individuals only please.
You are welcome to help yourself to any refreshments available.
A deposit of €250 will be required when signing the contract and handing over the keys. You will receive this €250 back IN FULL upon return of the keys.
There are a limited number of keys for rent. They will be rented on a first come, first served basis.
I hold the right to refuse rental where I see fit.
I hold the right to cancel or terminate any contract when I see fit.
Abuse of equipment will NOT be tolerated.
All practice time must be booked in advance.
If you don't give at least 72 hours notice of practice time or lesson cancellation, you will still be liable for the time and payment.

Unsupervised Practice Time: The Rules!:
Only use the rooms to practice between the hours of 12:00 and 21:00. If you have a desperate need to practice outside of these hours, please contact me first so I can pre-arrange (maybe), with the lovely neighbour who lives directly above the school.
Don't turn up the speakers too loud! There's no need. Really. You have two options: 1. Play more quietly. 2. If you really wanna hit hard and can't hear the music through the speakers at a reasonable volume, use the headphones provided. If you are using the headphones, you don't even need the speakers on! And besides, remember there a neighbours living close who are very understanding - I wouldn't want them to lose that understanding - RESPECT THE NEIGHBOURS! :-)
Talking of speakers; When you are finished practicing, make sure to turn the speakers off on the back before you turn the power off - One speaker has already been damaged and I can't really afford to replace expensive equipment very often...
Please help yourself to tea, coffee or any other refreshments that might be on site, but please be nice and wash up your cups and cutlery after you use it - thank you :-)
If you need to, clean the toilet - a brush and toilet cleaner are provided!
Remember that you need the keys to get in, so don't go outside without them or you'll be locked out!
Make sure that you turn the lights off and lock the doors when you leave.
There will be a required €250 deposit for studio keys. This will be returned in full upon the safe return of the keys when you decide to terminate your contract. Termination of the contract can be made at any time you wish, but if you cancel halfway through a month I will not refund any difference in that months payment.
Lost keys will incur the loss of the deposit in full
Please, treat all the equipment, other students and everything else at Dr Paradiddles with respect. Love it and care for it as if it is your own. I hope you can understand that it costs a lot of money to run the school every month, so if I am forced to replace stolen or damaged property I will obviously have to find the money from somewhere - this will probably mean raising my prices, which I am sure you wouldn't want. Let's keep the costs low and the atmosphere nice :-)
For any other requirements please get in touch and we will be happy to come up with a plan that suits you. There are no strict rules about regularity of lessons or the number of lessons you have, so maybe you want a special structure that isn't listed... No problem, just ask!
